Little Penarth farm is an organic farm with strong eco credentials, and required an equally environment friendly heating system provided by a HDG 50kW Euro log boiler.
A 50kW HDG Euro log boiler was installed to provide heat and hot water to an office, workshop and farmhouse on this organic farm. The site also has a 10kW solar PV array, with a diverter installed to divert excess solar power into heating the domestic water supply.
The installation also called for a 3000 litre thermal store with a web based control system for remote access and control of the total heating system. The system retains the old oil boiler as a backup.
Balancing the supply of heat to these remote locations is essential and achieved with the use of automatic valves, which balance the system.
